QoL Update: Now this shader should work with planes no matter its rotation.

Thanks to Youtube user "@waelbeji" for letting me know the solution.

You can either download the updated version or fix the one you have as shown above.

With this change now the shader works like this:



Update: By default the shader will work at the backface of the plane, set Scale y to 1 to make it work at the front face (interior will be flipped horizontally).

This is a shader for Blender I managed to replicate after a lot of time trying different tutorials from other softwares like Unreal and Unity.

You can use this for fake interiors and save render time.

Remember that the plane has to be rotated on the X axis by 90º and apply the rotation to work.

It has sliders but ideally you want to keep them by default.

You can use this with custom HDRI but keep in mind that it should be an equirectangular 2x1 aspect ratio image of a cubic interior to fit perfectly with the shader.
